A higher value excludes low-throttle readings. ECU2Dyno selects a pull around the highest logged clutch torque.

Frequently asked questions

A few things to know before using ECU2Dyno.

What is ECU2Dyno?

ECU2Dyno is a free online tool for turning compatible engine data logs into horsepower and torque graphs. Upload a CSV log, select a throttle threshold, and inspect the curve across RPM.

Which MHD and bootmod3 logs are supported?

ECU2Dyno reads compatible MHD and bootmod3 CSV exports containing RPM and clutch torque. Other CSV files may work when they use recognized column names. Including gear and accelerator pedal readings helps isolate a usable pull.

How is horsepower calculated?

ECU2Dyno calculates horsepower from the RPM and torque at clutch values reported in your CSV log. Clutch torque is estimated by the ECU, not measured on a dynamometer. Results depend on the accuracy of the logged torque and the quality of your pull.

Is the horsepower shown at the crank or at the wheels?

ECU2Dyno displays estimated crank (flywheel) horsepower, not wheel horsepower (whp). It uses ECU-reported clutch torque, which represents torque before the transmission and most drivetrain losses. No drivetrain-loss correction is applied. Because the torque value is ECU-estimated, this is not a direct crankshaft measurement or a substitute for a chassis dyno.

Why doesn't my log show a graph?

Check that the file is a CSV with RPM and torque data. If too few points remain after filtering, lower the minimum accelerator pedal setting and try again. A continuous acceleration pull generally gives the best results.

Can I save or share the results?

Yes. After loading a log, you can export the graph as a PNG or PDF, download the processed data as CSV, or print the results. Torque can be displayed in Nm or lb-ft.

Are uploaded CSV files stored?

Your CSV is processed to generate the dyno graph and is not permanently stored by ECU2Dyno. We do not save uploaded logs in a database. Results remain in your browser until you clear them or leave the page.
